ABU SIMBEL TEMPLE

Abusimbel Temple is one of the Seven Wonders of the World as it is engraved in two massive huge rocks in Abusimbel Village Aswan, Egypt. There are two temples in Abusimbel, the greatest one is known as the Temple of Ramses ll as it's built by the greatest Egyptian King Ramses ll and the smallest one is for his wife Queen Nefertari

Egypt celebrates a special phenomenon twice a year, once on October 22nd and the other on February 22nd.
On both days, people from all over the world are eager to observe the sun alignment phenomenon where the sun illuminates, facing the face of King Ramses II statue and God of Amon at Abu Simbel Temple.
The sun rays penetrate the front corridor of the temple by 200 meters reaching the inner holy place of the temple.
Abu Simbel Temple which is the largest temple carved in the rocks world wide, was also positioned in this specific location so that the sun rays directly reach the center of the temple on the sun alignment day
